What is Emotion Code?
The Emotion Code is an energy healing technique used to discover and release possible underlying energetic causes of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual issues. We believe that 80% of the imbalances that we suffer from are emotional in nature.
During a session we may identify and release trapped emotions, which are harmful emotional energies created and trapped from negative past events, that may be contributing to a range of issues experienced.
The Emotion Code is designed to help you ease emotional wounds, break self-sabotage, restore love to relationships and alleviate physical discomfort.

What is a Trapped Emotion?
Trapped Emotions are left over negative emotional energies that became stuck in your body. These emotional energies were created became stuck from past emotional experiences because you weren’t able to process them fully at the time. An emotion can become trapped in the body if it is imbalanced and / or too overwhelming in some way, or if the normal emotional processing (creating, experiencing and letting go) was interrupted in some way.
During an intense emotional experience, your whole body takes on the vibration of that emotion and you feel the energy of that emotion in your body. For example, if you experience an emotion of anger, you might want to scream, yell, punch something or run away, but it may not be appropriate in the moment to do those things. So instead the emotional energy of anger is suppressed as it is unable to be released or processed by the body. This can result in the energy becoming stuck in the body and this is called a trapped emotion.
How do Trapped Emotions Affects me?
There may have been times in your life when you wanted to cry, but crying was viewed as a weakness or you didn’t want to embarrass yourself by crying, so you suppressed crying resulting in that emotional energy being trapped.
Consciously we can forget events or situations that have occurred in our past that causes us to feel hurt or pain, you think you have moved on, it doesn’t affect you any more, that’s until you experience a new event, maybe something similar or that triggers that emotion in the present, the emotional energy from that original event or situation that was stuck in your body from that time, that event which caused you chaos and may have contributed to your imbalanced body.
When you have a trapped emotion in the body, your body is feeling the vibration of that emotion all the time. For example, if you have a trapped emotion of ‘anger’ lodged in your body, when a situation arises you may feel triggered and feel anger very easily, if you have trapped emotions of frustration, you may feel frustrated easier. That is because you have the emotional vibration of ‘anger’ or ‘frustration’ (the energy of that emotion from a previous situation/event) in you and it is triggering a reactionary response.
Trapped emotions are balls of vibrating energy about the size of your fist. Because trapped emotions are made of energy (just like the rest of your body) they distort the body’s energy field and interfere with the physical body functioning properly. Trapped emotions may cause pain, malfunction of organs and glands, dis-ease in the body and ongoing emotional issues. Trapped emotions can block people from feeling love and happiness and make them feel disconnected from others.
What is Emotional Baggage
The term Emotional Baggage is a metaphor used to describe the unresolved past emotional issues (trapped emotions) that we carry with us wherever we go.
Emotional baggage is like carrying around a suitcase all the time that is filled with our limiting beliefs, insecurities, inhibitions and turmoil from our life experience as well as inherited generational trauma. Our emotional baggage can leave us feeling weighed down, blocked and may potentially contribute to a range of mental, emotional and physical issues.
Do I need to know what the emotions are in relation to for them to be released?
An Emotion Code or Body Code session is not like a therapy or counselling session. You do not need to talk about any of the emotions and situations that come up in a session, nor do you need to relive past experiences in order to release a Trapped Emotion or correct energetic imbalances.
During a session we (the practitioner) ask your subconscious mind yes / no questions to identify what trapped emotions or imbalances need to be released or corrected. Your subconscious mind knows everything about you, what you have experienced and felt in the entirety of your waking life and the inner workings of your body (like your own internal computer system). We are able to gain answers from your subconscious mind using muscle testing. Muscle testing is a form of biofeedback that allows the practitioner to decode necessary information from your subconscious mind and identify what needs to be released without you (the client) needing to talk about any emotions or having to relive past experiences.
