What is the Emotion Code?
The Emotion Code® is an energy healing technique used to discover and release possible underlying energetic causes of mental, emotional, and physical issues.
We believe that 60% of imbalances that we suffer are emotional in nature. During a session we identify and release trapped emotions, which are harmful emotional energies from past events, generational and past lives, that are potentially contributing to a range of issues.
The Emotion Code is designed to help you ease emotional wounds, break self-sabotage, restore love to relationships and alleviate physical discomfort. The Emotion Code is a simple and effective way to identify and release your emotional baggage (trapped emotions).
What is a trapped Emotion?
Trapped Emotions are left over negative emotional energies that can become stuck in your body from past emotional experiences that you were unable to be processed at the time.
An emotion can become trapped in the body if it is overwhelming in some way, or if the normal emotional process (creating, experiencing and letting go) gets interrupted somehow.
Picture paintball, when you are hit, continuously by multiple people, the paint splatters in different parts of your body, all over your clothes, and its stuck, that’s how the body consumes trapped emotions those energies, fill you up like multi coloured paint in the body.
During an intense emotional experience, your whole body takes on that emotion and you feel the energy of that emotion in your body. For example, if you experience an emotion of anger, you might want to scream, yell, punch something which would be a healthy way to release, but it may not be appropriate in the moment to do something to process that emotion. So instead the emotional energy of anger is suppressed as it is unable to be released or processed by the body. This can result in the energy becoming stuck in the body and this is now called a trapped emotion.
There may have been times in your life when you wanted to cry, but crying was viewed as a weakness or you didn’t want to embarrass yourself by crying, so you tried to suppress yourself from crying which your body then suppressed that emotional energy.
Just when you think you have moved on from an event or situation from your past, the emotional energy from that original event or situation can arise from an event or situation in your present, taking you back to that moment creating an imbalance in your body.
How do they effect you?
Trapped emotions are balls of vibrating energy about the size of a clenched , orange or cantaloupe. Because trapped emotions are made of energy (just like the rest of the body) they distort the body’s energy field and interfere with the physical body functioning optimally. Trapped emotions may cause pain, malfunction of organs and glands, dis-ease in the body, and ongoing emotional issues. Trapped emotions can block people from feeling love and happiness and create a disconnection within and from others.
When you have a trapped emotion in the body, your body is feeling the vibration of that emotion all the time. For example, if you have a trapped emotion of ‘anger’ lodged in your body, when a situation arises you may feel triggered and feel anger very easily. That is because you have the emotional vibration of ‘anger’ (the energy of that emotion from a previous situation/event) in you and it is triggering a reactionary response.
What is Emotional Baggage?
The term Emotional Baggage is a metaphor used to describe the unresolved past emotional issues (trapped emotions) that we carry with us wherever we go.
Emotional baggage is like carrying around a suitcase every where you go that is filled with our limiting beliefs and negative memories from our life experience as well as inherited generational emotions and beliefs (rented). Our emotional baggage can leave us feeling weighed down, blocked and may potentially contribute to a range of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual issues.
